JENNIFER BURNELL

Jennifer Azalea Burnell was born April 25, 1987. She is the daughter of Mauri and Craig Gandy. Eight of her siblings were Baseball/Softball All Stars. Her oldest sister went to College on a softball scholarship. Jennifer's sister, Jamie started The Believers Softball team. When the team expanded to an 18 and under team Jennifer became the first member. She played on the select team R.A.G.E. in 2003. They won first place in sectionals, and went to Nationals. Jennifer has ten nieces and nephews. Half of them have already started playing baseball/softball, and 2 of her nieces have been All Star players.

Jennifer began playing softball at the age of 6 for the Killeen Parks & Recreation Youth Softball. She played left field for the Belton Mustangs in 1995, and Belton Lions in 1996. Her family moved to Marble Falls where Jennifer played 2nd Base and Short Stop for the Magics in 1997, 98 and 1999. Her team became the Major Softball Champions in 1999. She was selected to play in the All Star team playing in the Sectional tournament in Fredericksburg. In 2003 she played for Balcones Hot Tamales as starting Short Stop. Jennifer was selected to play for the Balcones RAGE tournament team. She usually plays 2nd Base, 3rd and Left Field.

Jennifer loves the game and gives 100% every time she plays. When Jennifer comes up to bat she loves to recall her favorite bible passage Philippians 4:13.
